The day started early when we met Kim at Shear Dimensions where she was being transformed by Kristen Kirby into a bride for her wedding day. Kim was all a glow and smiling from ear to ear. You knew that she was so excited to marry her best friend and love of her life, Bart.
We headed to the ceremony and reception site, Fairfax Hall to set up our equipment and were pleasantly surprised to see Bart setting up final touches. Bart is an extremely talented artist and decorated the wedding cake for their wedding. It was beautiful! We just loved all the special touches that they put into this wedding.
We arrived at the Residence Inn to photograph the finishing touches of the bride getting ready and had a blast hanging out with Kim and her bridesmaids. Her airbrushed makeup was flawless thanks to the fabulous Dianna Rudolph. Kim’s dress was gorgeous and I especially loved the touches of black accents in the sash and throughout the bouquet. What was really special was the awesome black and red Nike high heel shoes that she wore at the reception. We were lucky to grab some really wonderful bridal photos of Kim in the hallway of the hotel, and she looked fabulous.
The ceremony was so heartfelt and absolutely gorgeous. After the ceremony guests enjoyed a BBQ dinner that was to die for courtesy of Pecks BBQ. To top the night off, their very special friend who is a marine surprised them and traveled all the way from North Carolina to see the couple. We had a great time shooting this Fairfax Hall wedding and hanging out with all of Bart & Kim’s family and friends. It was a real honor to be a part of their big day and witnessed two special people say I do 🙂
