We were so excited to photograph Ashley & Thomas’ Rustic Farm Wedding in Waynesboro, Va. The day was absolutely gorgeous and we couldn’t be more happy for this terrific couple.
The day started out with Thomas and his groomsmen shooting skeet on the other side of the farm. It isn’t every day that you get to photograph something as cool as that. One of the shot guns used for the skeet shooting was actually Ashley’s great grandfather’s gun from 1912. As Ryan hung out with the guys capturing all of those unforgettable moments, Rachel was busy taking photos of the girls getting beautified for the big day!
Ashley was all smiles. From the moment she received her gift from Thomas to the moment she took that breathtaking step towards her husband to be, it was truly an event to remember.
There were many beautiful and personal touches to the wedding. Ashley really put a lot of thought and effort into the planning of the event. She had her great grandmother’s wedding ring hand tied to her bouquet of lilies, she borrowed many rustic elements for the decor, and she even had her parent’s BBQ catering company cater the scrumptious wedding dinner along with the lovely ladies from her church. A huge thanks to T’s Roaring BBQ for our full tummies! We cannot wait to work with you guys again.
Pastor Greg Mayo from Cornerstone Church of Augusta gave a lovely ceremony for the couple with so many personal elements. Pastor Dave Sandy & Shelley Chandler added a special touch to the music for the ceremony and DJ Parker Bradley came all the way from the Outer Banks for Ashley & Thomas’ big day. Village Green Florists provided the beautiful flower arrangements and wedding party flowers that added to Ashley’s own centerpieces that she designed.
The reception was absolutely beautiful under the white canopy tent with the mountains glowing in the background and country music filling the air. The amazing cake and cupcakes were made with love by Pastry Love Bakery and we could not get enough of them. We were also lucky enough to capture some images at night with the full moon in the background and that was truly amazing.
The night ended with a fantastic sparkler send off and the couple drove off into the night with the excitement of their nuptials along with the anticipation of their upcoming cruise to the Caribbean and to be quite honest, Ryan and I were a little jealous ourselves.
It was such a pleasure to work with Ashley & Thomas and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this beautiful couple.
