As we are on the road traveling to Charlottesville, VA to photograph Jenn & Scott’s wedding this Saturday at the Boars Head Inn, Ryan and I decided it would be awesome to blog about their Old Town Alexandria engagement session!
We are so incredibly excited to shoot this wedding at one of our favorite wedding venues in Charlottesville, but we are even more excited to share these engagement photos taken just a few short months ago in Northern Virginia. Ryan and I are lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel all over the United States photographing wonderful couples and partaking in their very special day! We would not trade our “job” (if you could even call it a job) for anything in the world.
We started our day meeting the two of them for the first time at Firehook Bakery & Coffee House where they had one of the best vanilla lattes in the world (yes, i am a sucker for a vanilla latte, what can I say?) and not to mention we instantly declared that Jen & Scott are one of the coolest couples that we have ever met! After our amazing coffee break, we ventured over to Woodrow Wilson Bridge Park where they laughed, twirled, and took a walk through the park making our job super easy and we just snapped away! The park is such a sweet location and located literally directly underneath of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. We loved every second of it!
Our next location was located at the Wilkes Street tunnel. This wasn’t our first rodeo shooting at the tunnel and we were excited to photograph at this location again.
At the end of our day, we drove over to the National Harbor which is technically located in Maryland even though it was 5 minutes away from Alexandria, VA. We were able to use the Ferris Wheel as a backdrop to their photos and it was the perfect ending to our day! Jenn and Scott are the epitome of a perfect couple. You can just feel the love between the two of them and it was so amazing to capture such a beautiful engagement session on this very cold day in Alexandria.
A special Congratulations goes out to them as their big wedding day is tomorrow and we cannot wait!!!
