Lauren & Patrick | Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session – Virginia

We originally met Lauren and Patrick at Wolf Trap Farm where they were in the beginning stages of planning their fairly tale wedding. When they decided on an Old Town Alexandria engagement session we were completely excited to head up north for this shoot. The day started with a nice warm cup of coffee from Misha’s Coffee in Alexandria, Virginia. If you know Rachel and I well, you know that we are coffee junkies. We love our coffee and so do these two!

Lauren and Patrick live just minutes from Old Town so they were the prefect tour guides throughout the day. We started out in Founder’s Park which was still covered in snow that had fallen a few days prior. We worked quickly here to get some photos with Lauren’s daughter, Abby. She did so well despite it being pretty cold and a little windy. The really nice thing about Founder’s Park is the fact that it’s right on the water which is where we made our way to next.

After we finished at the waterfront we made our way over to the Wilkes Street Tunnel. We absolutely fell in love with this location!! We grabbed a few lit shots inside the tunnel and then made our way to the backside of the tunnel for a few more, such a fun spot! As we made our way through downtown we finished up the shoot just outside of Big Wheel Bikes. We had a fantastic time with this one of a kind Old Town Alexandria engagement session!

September can’t get here soon enough, we can’t wait to reconnect with Lauren and Patrick when we shoot their Wolf Trap Farm wedding!
