We had a great time working with Rachel & Travis throughout the last couple of months- from their countryside engagement shoot to their absolutely gorgeous Barren Ridge Vineyards Wedding.
On the morning of their wedding, we met Rachel at True Kuhler Hair Salon in Staunton, Va and we were able to capture some really memorable moments with Rachel and her fabulous bridesmaids.
We met the ladies later on in the day at Barren Ridge Vineyards in Fishersville, where we photographed the lovely bride along with her bridesmaids getting ready for the big day. Travis and his groomsmen were also hard at work setting up some of the many personal touches that you see in the wedding photos 🙂 Working with such a wonderful couple with the very best family and friends was truly amazing!
Only the best brides arrive in style as Rachel and her Dad rode in a vintage Model-T to the ceremony site.
The wedding ceremony was so touching and heartfelt, and the decor cannot go unnoticed. Travis along with Rachel’s father handmade that gorgeous wedding arbor and many of the other elements used for the wedding as well. Ceremony music was provided by new and upcoming country star David Sayre.
The reception was stunning.. from the vintage doors on wine barrels used as table tops for the bar and the cake table, to the beautiful cream, pink, and coral rose and peony centerpieces, the room was so stylish and romantic. Kudos to Honey Bee’s Florist located in Staunton, Va. I really loved her take on the vintage theme and you could certainly tell that Rachel and Travis spent a lot of time and effort planning this event.
After Rachel and Travis were introduced as the Newlyweds, David Sayer played the guitar and sang “Hew Pretty Girl” for their first dance- it was so amazing!
Everyone settled in listening to the music provided by DJ Matthew Sutton of XS Events and enjoyed the wonderful beverages provided by Barren Ridge Vineyards and a delicious catered meal by Willie McNeal of Weddings and Things Catering in Staunton Va. The wedding cake was gorgeous and really fit the theme of this wedding and style of this bride. Cathy Stewart of Cakes by Cathy is one talented baker!
Later in the evening, the music was pumping and I don’t think that I saw one person sitting down.. Everyone was out on the dance floor, including the DJ! He really knew how to keep the party going!
At the closing of the evening, the bride and groom were sent off on their way through an archway of glistening sparklers.
This was truly a magical night to remember and a dream come true wedding.
