Ashley & Clint’s lovely Wild Horse Outer Banks Wedding in Corolla, NC took place earlier this year in the spring and we were in love with all the details and hard work by this couple along with their amazing wedding planners (To Have & To Hold OBX)
I would say that Ryan and I are some of the luckiest people because we get to travel all over the world and photograph. This “job” (if you can even call it that) is so rewarding. 1. We get to wake up every morning and go to “work” in our PJ’s.. as I am sitting hear writing this blog, we are cozied up with a cup of coffee in our pajamas (It’s so awesome). 2. We get to do this job together. Some couples would not be able to work together but not only do we love working together, we wouldn’t have it any other way. 3. We work with some incredible people. We get introduced into their love story and it couldn’t make us happier to be able to document that.
Ashley & Clint chose The Wild Horse for their wedding venue and if you haven’t seen or heard of the famous Wild Horse estate in Corova, you need to drop what you are doing and go online now! It is truly a miraculous home that can sleep more than 50 people. You literally are staying in your own private Inn for the entire week and the house even comes equipped with not only one kitchen, but another entirely separate kitchen that is used for the caterers that come in for the event. The yard is not a yard at all- just rolling sandy dunes overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. You even (on occasion) can see the famous Outer Banks Wild Horses in your back yard.
Ashley & Clint are such a wonderful and loving couple. Their wedding was absolutely perfect (maybe a little windy and chilly) but the wedding party & all of their family & friends were troopers. The couple enlisted the help from Brenda Ziegler with To Have & To Hold OBX. She is such an amazing wedding planner and we are always so lucky to work with her. Beautiful details were put together by Brenda & The Flower Girls provided some beautiful blooms to adorn the decor. Clint built the lovely altar where the couple said their “I do’s” and he is so crazy talented! It was definitely breath-taking. Red Sky Cafe catered the wedding and the food was definitely to die for. Wes (the owner of Red Sky) always provides some of the best food on the Outer Banks! Atlantic cake company baked the scrumptious cake and I would have to say that it was one of my favorites of the year.. I loved the flowers on the cake and definitely one of my most favorite color palettes! Coastal DJ & Video did a great job of spinning the tunes along with providing videography services for this wedding. It is always such a pleasure to work with George from Coastal DJ along with all of his staff. Bombshells Studio did a wonderful job with all of the hair & makeup services for this amazing wedding party. The bride along with her bridesmaids looked gorgeous and it is all thanks to Amber & her team with Bombshells Studio.
